Hi everyone!
I am Samuel Udoudoakpan, a Statistician with the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, Nigeria.
Good to be here.
bonjour a tous ! je suis fataki gandi bienvenun nouveau data manager et utilisateur DHIS2 depuis decembre 2025 dans la zone de santé de kikimi/ , ville provincial de kinshasa/ republique démocratique du Congo
Hello DHIS2 Community ![]()
My name is Evelyn Patra Asio, and I am based in Uganda. I am a Public Health Informatics PhD candidate at Makerere University School of Public Health and also affiliated with the Makerere University School of Computing and Informatics Technology
I became involved with DHIS2 through maternal and child health digitalization work in Uganda, particularly around ANC eRegistries, maternal workflows, and interoperability between health systems and Civil Registration & Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems.
Over the years, I have contributed to work involving:
- DHIS2 Tracker implementations for antenatal care (ANC)
- Maternal and newborn digital registries
- Workflow redesign and interoperability mapping
- DHIS2 as Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
- Integration of ANC, maternity, postnatal, and birth notification workflows
- CRVS interoperability discussions involving MVRS/NIRA systems in Uganda
My current PhD research focuses on strengthening the integration of maternal and child eRegistry workflows with birth notification and civil registration systems using DHIS2.
Areas I am especially passionate about include:
- DHIS2 Tracker
- Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI)
- Maternal and child health systems
- Interoperability, OpenHIE, and FHIR
- Implementation science
- Data quality and routine health information systems
Fun fact: I genuinely enjoy turning complex health workflows into practical, human-centered digital systems that frontline health workers can actually use effectively. I also love visual workflow mapping, systems thinking, leadership development, and bridging public health with technology innovation.
I’m looking forward to learning from the community and connecting with others working in DHIS2, interoperability, maternal health, CRVS, and digital public infrastructure.
Happy to connect! ![]()
Hello everyone,
My name is Ntombikhona, known as Khe, and I am based in South Africa. I come from a background in virology, with a focus on drug resistance and infectious diseases. However, my work has expanded into climate and health research, including studies involving air quality, extreme heat, and public health surveillance.
I am passionate about data-driven healthcare and the use of digital health systems to strengthen health programs and research in Africa. I am especially interested in how platforms like DHIS2 can support disease surveillance, health system strengthening, and evidence-based decision-making.
I’m excited to be part of this community, learn from everyone’s experiences, and collaborate with others who are working to improve healthcare through data and innovation.
Hi @samueludoudoakpan @Bienvenu_Fataki @Evie_P_A @maphumulokhe
Thank you for the passionate and welcome introductions. Please to see in the DHIS2 Community of Practice and looking forward to your participation. ![]()

Thank you for your introduction!
Hello everyone. I am Soria Dupie. I am from the twin island state of Antigua and Barbuda. I got involved with DHIS2 when I was waorking as a Nurse Epidemiologist. We used it to collect survillance data on communicable diseases from the various health clinics on the islands.
Thank you .
I am working as DHIS Coordinator in AJK Health Departmen
Hi everyone,
looking forward to being part of this community.
I am currently Director of Operational and Implementation Research at Madiro, where we support humanitarian and health organizations in low-resource settings with interoperable, open-source digital health systems and implementation research.
Our work focuses on scalable systems that improve care delivery, continuity of care, reporting, and decision-making in settings where fragmented or paper-based systems remain barriers.
Practically this includes Open MRS–DHIS2 interoperability, standardized clinical terminology, and reusable digital infrastructure. Our current and recent work includes modular humanitarian EMRs developed with MSF and ICRC, digitization of maternal and primary care services in Madagascar and Burundi, and interoperable digital infrastructure for women’s health in Madagascar, including offline-first shared patient records and DHIS2 integration.
Another area of our interest is in AI-enhanced epidemic surveillance. We are currently supporting proposals with partners in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, and Guinea combining DHIS2, climate data, and AI methods to strengthen epidemic prediction and climate-resilient health systems.
Hello,
I’m Kamila Matos de Albuquerque and I live in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. I work at FIOCRUZ Ceará and I’m pursuing a doctorate in digital health. I came across DHIS2 while researching references for a scoping review on digital health management solutions. My goal here is to learn more about the system, especially if it offers tools for health planning management. I also want to learn more about the community and the potential of this system. Best regards!
Oi Sharaf
Hi! I’m learning about DHIS2 and I wanted to know if it has modules for planning management, that is, for the manager to register the action plan and monitor the execution and achievement of the goals.
Hello everyone,
My name is Charles Daniel Apollo, and I am from South Sudan, currently based in Kampala, Uganda. I am a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Manager and Data Analytics Specialist with more than 10 years of experience working in development and humanitarian programs across East and Central Africa.
I have worked extensively on data management, monitoring and evaluation systems, health information systems, and digital data solutions for organizations supported by USAID, CDC, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. My experience includes designing and managing databases, conducting data quality assessments, developing dashboards, and strengthening organizational data systems.
I am interested in learning more about DHIS2 because it is one of the most widely used platforms for health information management and program monitoring worldwide. Although I have previous experience working with DHIS2 for data management, analytics, reporting, and capacity building, I would like to deepen my technical knowledge and stay current with the latest DHIS2 features, best practices, and implementation approaches.
Through this course, I hope to strengthen my DHIS2 skills, improve my ability to design and manage data systems, enhance data analysis and visualization capabilities, and learn from the experiences of other professionals in the global DHIS2 community. I am also interested in exploring how DHIS2 can be integrated with advanced analytics, data science, and artificial intelligence to support evidence-based decision-making.
I look forward to learning with all of you, sharing experiences, and building valuable professional connections throughout this course.
Thank you.
