Evelyn Patra Asio is an African implementation scientist, public health informatics researcher, and digital transformation practitioner specializing in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), health information systems, interoperability, and population data integration. Her work sits at the intersection of digital governance, health systems strengthening, and data-driven service delivery.

With interdisciplinary training in ICT policy, knowledge service engineering, intelligent user interfaces, and public health informatics, she combines implementation research, systems thinking, user-centered design, and mixed-methods approaches to design, evaluate, and scale interoperable digital health solutions across African contexts.

She has worked on DHIS2 Tracker implementations, maternal and child health eRegistries, workflow redesign, and interoperability initiatives linking health information systems with Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems. Her current doctoral research focuses on integrating digital birth notification and registration workflows within Uganda’s mixed health system using DHIS2 as a Digital Public Infrastructure platform.
