Happy New Year, DHIS2 Community! 2026 is finally here—are you ready for another incredible year of learning and working on DHIS2 projects together? While there are so many things to share, the purpose of this monthly community post remains the same: community highlights and a special appreciation to the active and helpful community members. We hope you enjoy the community monthly post! 
Being engaged and participating in this global community makes you part of the DHIS2 projects (in health, education, climate and more) around the world. Thank you for the amazing experiences, knowledge, and contributions in 2025, and here is to a vibrant, innovative 2026!
Before looking ahead, there’s a really nice and new CoP feature that we would like to share! You can now get your own personalized 2025 CoP “Rewind” that gives you a look at your year on the CoP. - Watch the dac2026 Tag: To stay updated on the DHIS2 Annual Conference topic posts, make sure to add the dac2026 tag to your “Watched” list in your profile preferences. First, open your profile tag preferences click here and then type in the word dac2026 into the Watched field. Second, make sure you “save changes”
- Register for Community Events: Don’t miss the first Webinar Series, Developer Meetup, and Server Admin Meetup of the year.

To begin with, the all time top topic is the Introduce Yourself post so thanks to all the community members for their stories in 2025; these introductions are a special reminder that we are part of a larger community working together on making the world a better place.
It’s great news to start by sharing that the DHIS2 Online Academy discussion forums - private dedicated forums for the self-paced digital courses, are thriving. In the year 2025 alone, learners from across the world have posted over 690 posts, and we have also had over 4800 posts across all categories!
It is inspiring to see a community filled with both DHIS2 experts and new learners achieving their goals. For more of this inspiration, don’t forget to check out the “Learner’s Voices” series.

In the first week many members posted about an issue where Capture Data wasn’t being generated in analytics. Thanks to the community’s swift reporting and the core team’s prioritization, this issue was resolved - good job posting in the CoP, now it’ll be a smooth start for all implementations in 2026! 
The other top topics in the year 2025 were the DAC topics, 2025 DHIS2 App Competition topic, and the DHIS2 Community End of Year event topic.
Finally, - the longest feature request discussion topic in 2025: Make a section in Capture app forms ‘read only’ for some roles or user groups
