Announcing our 2024 Academy schedule & program updates

Check out our 2024 schedule, browse the new course catalog and learning path diagram, and join us for a webinar on 22 February!

We’re pleased to share several announcements about the DHIS2 Academy program:

First, we have now published a preliminary schedule of in-person course offerings for 2024, which includes courses in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. You can explore the current schedule – and sign up for courses that are already open for registration – on our Academy schedule webpage. We will continue to add courses to the calendar throughout the year.

Second, we have changed how we categorize courses in the DHIS2 Academy program. Previously, courses were divided into levels (Fundamentals, Level 1, Level 2). Starting in 2024, we have are launching a new Academy model that categorizes courses based on their content: Introduction to DHIS2, DHIS2 Use, DHIS2 Configuration, Domain & Program Management, Architecture & Extensions, and Conferences. As part of this change, we have also updated the prerequisites for some course, and renamed some courses to better match their contents. You can read more about these categories – and learn more about each of the courses in the Academy program – on our new course catalog webpage.

Finally, to support our mission of strengthening local capacity to design, implement and maintain DHIS2 systems, we have updated our interactive learning path diagram based on our guidance for strong national DHIS2 core teams. You can explore this diagram – and find which courses are right for you or your team – on our new learning paths webpage.

If you would like to learn more about the changes to the DHIS2 Academy program, and learn more about the courses being offered in 2024, we invite you to join us for a webinar on Thursday, 22 February, from 14:00-15:00 Oslo time. Register here

If you have questions or comments about these updates, we invite you to share your thoughts on the DHIS2 Community of Practice.

We’ll hope you’ll join us for a DHIS2 Academy course in 2024!
