Share your One Health experience

This is a space for the community to share how you are using DHIS2 for One Health — the integrated approach to the health of people, animals and the environment.

One Health work with DHIS2 is growing across many countries and sectors, from animal health surveillance and zoonoses to antimicrobial resistance, community-based surveillance, and cross-sectoral data sharing between ministries of health, livestock and environment. Every implementation is different, and the community learns fastest from real examples.

If you are working on One Health with DHIS2, we would love to hear from you. To help others learn from your experience, it is useful to include:

  • Where and who: the country or region, and the ministries, agencies or partners involved.
  • What you are doing: the One Health use case — for example animal health surveillance, zoonoses, AMR, community-based / event-based surveillance, or cross-sectoral data sharing.
  • How DHIS2 is set up: whether it is a single instance, multiple instances, integration with other systems, use of the Android app or SMS, and any custom apps or configurations.
  • What is working and what is challenging: lessons learned, obstacles encountered, and anything you would do differently.
  • Links and resources: dashboards, presentations, documentation, or publications you can share.

No example is too small — a short note about your context is just as valuable as a detailed write-up. Questions for others working in this space are equally welcome.

To get a sense of what is already happening, you can explore the DHIS2 for One Health page, and DHIS2 is now also listed in the FAO Inventory of ICT for One Health.

Looking forward to reading your stories.
