Pivot Table Not Displaying All Facilities with Completed Data

Hi Everyone,

My name is Sarah Ajayi from Nigeria, and I’m currently working as a database administrator, working as a DHIS 2 administrator on the ongoing GF project in my country.

Recently, I developed a dataset report for the project on DHIS while reviewing the pivot output, I noticed an issue which I require anyone’s support.

Data entry appears to be complete for all facilities as confirmed through both the reports module and on the entry page however, the pivot output is not displaying all the facilities that have submitted data. For instance, out of 15 facilities that have entered data, the pivot output may only show 10.

This discrepancy affects the accuracy of our analysis, so I thought it important to bring it here for support. Please I will be on standby waiting for your feedback.

Thank you,

Sarah Ajayi.

Good morning Mr. Phillip, please pardon me if I am sending this wrongly.

Hi @Sarah123_1

Welcome to the DHIS2 Community of Practice! To begin with, may I ask what is the version of the DHIS2 instance you are using? And was there a recent update/upgrade or any metadata configuration? Is this the first time a dataset report generated or was it successful on previous attempts and now it is missing some OUs?

Before generating the report, please try the following:

  • Data Administration app > clear application cache, reload apps
  • Data Administration app > Analytics tables > Export analytics tables

When you run the analytics tables, do you see any errors in the UI log or in the Catalina.out log?

Could this be a metadata configuration issue, please check this thread: Reporting rates not working in 2.33 - #10 by Scott

If the solution in the thread I shared isn’t working, please check if there’s a metadata mismatch in this thread: Data importing issues in DHIS2 - #4 by rithvik

I hope these help. In order to understand what the issue is and debug, please respond to the questions above and provide more details after checking the above possible solutions.

Thank you!

Thank you so much AL-Gassim Sharaf Addin, it’s working perfectly now.

I am most grateful.

Thank you! That’s great news. May I ask which exactly was the solution please?

Dear Al-Gassim,

Thank you for your support.

I cleared the cache and ran the analytics as you suggested , and also got support from an expert who helped with some troubleshooting.

As part of the process, I had to re-create the organisational unit and re-assign it appropriately. It took me a few hours to complete, but I’m glad I went through with it. Clearing the cache really helped fast-track the process and allowed the updates to reflect smoothly.

Thanks again for your timely support.

Okay, I’m happy this worked. Thank you for sharing the solution and participating in the community.

Hi @Sarah123_1 ,

The best way to follow up with a potential bug, like you are seeing, is to report it into our Jira bug reporting system.
Please give as much detail as you can, including the version of DHIS2 you are using and the steps you are following when you see the odd behaviour. It is also very useful if you can attach any error logs that are relevant. For example, the console log in the “developer tools” on your browser can often be very useful; you should be able to see if there are any error messages when opening the pivot table where you are having the problem.

Once you have raised a bug into our system, our QA team will triage it and prioritise it so that it can be explored further. Note that sometimes this sort of issue can be due to configuration problems in a particular implementation, but if it is a software bug that is causing inaccurate analytics, then we take that quite seriously.

Kind regards,
Phil
