We’re excited to share two new features that make importing climate data into DHIS2 significantly easier.
Automatic batching for detailed org unit boundaries
If you’ve experienced the app hanging or failing mid-import, this may have been caused by org unit boundaries that are too detailed for Google Earth Engine to process in one go. The app now automatically splits these into smaller batches, sends them to GEE sequentially, then reassembles the results before importing to DHIS2. Note: the existing 50,000-value limit per DHIS2 import still applies.
Saved import setups
You can now save your import configurations and rerun them with a single click (ok, actually 2 clicks). The app automatically picks up where the last import left off, extending the date range to bring your data up to date — or you can choose a custom date range manually.
Together, these features significantly reduce the manual work involved in keeping your climate data up to date.
