New Climate app with ENACTS integration released

DHIS2 Climate App now integrates with ENACTS for import of local climate and weather data

We are pleased to announce version 1.15.0 of the DHIS2 Climate App that includes support for local climate and weather data integration from country-owned ENACTS systems. Learn more and download the new version on the DHIS2 App Hub. ENACTS is enabled for DHIS2 versions 41 and newer.

The Enhancing National Climate Services (ENACTS) initiative, started by the International Research Institute for Climate and Society (IRI) and now transitioning to the leadership of SEI Africa, works closely with National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) to provide high resolution climate data to decision makers in partner countries across Africa through a dedicated software platform.

During the DHIS2 Climate & Health project, HISP UiO collaborated with IRI to develop the ENACTS Data Sharing Tool, which enables other systems to access ENACTS data.

As of this new version, the DHIS2 Climate App now integrates with the ENACTS Data Sharing Tool, allowing health information systems in ENACTS partner countries to gain direct access to local, gridded climate and weather data in DHIS2.

Users can select the ENACTS Data Sharing Tool as a data provider in the Climate App settings menu.

Once enabled, ENACTS data can be selected for import through the Climate App.
