Metadata export-import between dHIS2 version 2.10 and 2.11

Dear Experts

I have a problem regarding metadata export. I am trying to export metadata from dHIS2 version 2.10 (database on MySQL) to a dHIS2 version 2.11 (database on PostgreSQL – empty). When I try to import nothing happen.

The tomcat has the following message.

I solve this problem by upgrading the exporting dhis2 version from 2.10 to 2.11. Now the metadata is exporting:

Now my question is why this is happening? Because we may need to use different version of DHIS2 and metadata export-import might be the only way to synchronize the different systems.

Hi Hannan,

as described earlier on the list we do not support meta-data import/export between version 2.10 and 2.11. In 2.11 we introduced DXF 2 for meta-data exchange, as apposed to the earlier DXF 1. So you will have to upgrade your first instance to 2.11 as well, then do the meta-data export.
