Mercy here, based in Malawi, and I’m excited to join the DHIS2 Community as a complete beginner, taking a DHIS2-related course for the first time. I learned about this course through a friend who shared it on LinkedIn, and I was immediately interested in understanding how DHIS2 supports data management and health information systems.
Although I’m new to DHIS2, I’m eager to learn, grow my skills, and eventually contribute to meaningful digital health initiatives. I look forward to connecting with others, asking questions, and gaining insights from the experienced members of this community.

My name is Aung, from Myanmar and I have worked as a public health professional in various health programs. I am particularly interested in data collection, management, analysis, and dissemination, which have been key parts of my responsibilities. DHIS2 is widely used and very important in Myanmar, so I would like to deepen my knowledge of this system. My goal is to become proficient in DHIS2 and be able to develop essential dashboards for health programs within my organization and for the country. Therefore, I am very interested in learning more about DHIS2 through these courses.
My name is Minwiyelet Fiseha, based in Ethiopia and I serve as a Senior Agriculture Information System Technical Advisor with the Ministry of Agriculture. I specialize in designing and implementing DHIS2-based systems for food, nutrition and agricultural programs. My technical expertise includes metadata and data model design, tracker and dataset configuration, indicator development, dashboards, validation rules and system customization.
My current passion is leveraging DHIS2 beyond traditional health uses - particularly in agriculture, food systems and nutrition monitoring.
-I got involved with DHIS2 as my currently role of Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation manager involved closely coordination with Ministry of Helath-DHIS2/HMIS focal points.
