How to calculate Potential Number of hospitalization days(Beds x days in month)

Hi all,

anyone with the best way of calculating this indicator Potential Number of hospitalization days(Beds x days in month)

Here the months are dynamic based on the normal reporting months(28/29 days, 30days,31days). We have been using the average of 30dyas but we want to use real numbers of days. But in dhis2 indicator module, there is an icon(D) which is number of days. can this help?

Any idea?

Hi Andrew,

The D (days) is a special parameter that will always be the number of days in the period you are calculating the indicator value for.

It is meant for exactly the kind of use case you describe, e.g. available bed days to be used as denominator in bed occupancy rate.
