Ola has been working with DHIS2 at UiO since the beginning in 2004 and is currently the lead for DHIS2 Implementation group at the HISP Centre at UiO .

Ola is also on the HISP UiO management team and managing projects with partners like PEPFAR, CDC, UNICEF and GAVI. Ola’s background is information systems development and he has 16 years of experience from DHIS implementations. He has provided expert guidance on HIS and DHIS2 to ministries of health around the world, including extensive field experience from Cuba, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Vietnam, Palestine, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Ola has been deeply involved in designing solutions on the DHIS2 platform, analysing requirements together with users in countries and as well as experts from global partners, engaging with the development team on design and architectures and guiding countries in implementing new innovations.
