The DHIS2 software platform is developed by the HISP Centre at the University of Oslo (HISP UiO), which is also responsible for developing and maintaining many other DHIS2 resources, including the DHIS2 documentation, the DHIS2 Academy program, and the DHIS2 Community of Practice forum. This is part of global collaboration with 23 HISP groups in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas, supporting design, development, implementation, and capacity building for locally-owned information systems around the globe.
To help show the scope of HISP’s work—and make it easier to find the right HISP group or HISP hub to support your DHIS2 project—we are pleased to share updated and expanded information about HISP on our website, including a brand-new interactive map of HISP groups worldwide:
- HISP network overview & interactive map: dhis2.org/hisp-network
- The HISP approach to sustainable, locally-owned systems: dhis2.org/hisp-approach
- HISP’s mission and values: dhis2.org/mission-and-values
- The history of HISP and DHIS2: dhis2.org/hisp-history
These updates are part of our celebration of the 30th anniversary of HISP, where we reflect on all that has been accomplished since the project began in 1994, and look forward to continuing to support countries in their digitalization journeys with HISP and DHIS2!
