We’re about to dig into some mobile app work for DHIS2 … I haven’t looked under the hood of the DHIS2 Tracker Capture App example … but wanted to know whether locally cached data is encrypted?
We have a use case in which communication will be patchy (i.e. every couple of days or so) and security of locally identifiable patient data (as a tracked entity) is critical.

The Android DHIS 2 Tracker app doesn’t encrypt any data at the moment, but the android device itself can be encrypted (the whole device), and all traffic between the device and the server can be encrypted.

Hi David,
Unfortunately, AFAIK we haven’t implemented encryption on the Android clients yet.
