We’re pleased to share that the new DHIS2 for Nutrition page is now live on the DHIS2 website!
The page covers how DHIS2 supports national and subnational nutrition information systems around the world—from routine facility and community-based data collection to nutrition surveillance in crisis settings and therapeutic feeding programs.
You’ll find:
Use cases and impact stories from countries including Yemen, Burkina Faso, Uganda, and others
An overview of the DHIS2 nutrition metadata package, developed in collaboration with UNICEF
We’d love to hear from those of you working on nutrition programs—what use cases or country examples would you like to see added? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
Thank you for sharing the update about the new DHIS2 for Nutrition webpage. I have visited the page and found the resources and country examples very insightful. I look forward to exploring the materials further and seeing additional use cases added in the future. Please keep me informed of any new developments.
Thanks for the clarification.
Given the complexity of BMI-for-age / Z-score (5–19), what is the recommended approach in practice?
Is it usually approximated within DHIS2, or calculated externally and integrated back?
Is there also any plan to support this natively in future releases?
