Based on the current manual from India documentation plus the current NBITS development, here is the general manual for DHIS2-NBITS (version 1, Jan 2011) with mostly the illustrations, figures from the Vietnam cases (Immunization and Child Care program).
Hi Kim-Anh,
Thanks for sharing this with the group. Would it be possible to get
the original document and image so that we can add it to the main
DHIS2 documentation branch?
Best regards,
Jason

I realize it is a bit more work for you but as Ola points out, the
docbook format has sort of evolved to be the "standard" documentation
system for DHIS2, including the integration of the main parts of the
document into the online help system.
If you need any help with the conversion, if you can do it, please let
me know. Otherwise, I will try and convert it to DocBook once I get a
chance.

Would it be possible for you/the team in VN to convert this text to docbook
format and include it as a chapter in the DHIS 2 user manual?
That is really what we need now, and if it doesn't happen this will be just
another document that nobody read.

I did add a chapter for NBITS module and commit it.
Btw, still having errors with Unicode (for example, Vietnamese characters) fonts in .PDF files after building the doc.
Any suggestions?
Hi Kim-Anh,
I recall having seen the vietnamese version of the document, but is
there an English version?
As for Unicode issues, you may need to parse the document with java
native2ascii first usually located at c:\Program
Files\java\jdk1.6.0_XX\bin . It may also be a problem with the font
which is used to render the PDF.
Could you give a specific example and maybe I can try and figure if it
is a docbook issue?

Jason

Thanks Kim-Anh,
I suspect that the issues with the problems with UNICODE stem from the
letters not being in ASCII Unicode format.
I will do some testing and see if this is the issue.
Thanks for this.

Hi Kim-Anh,
I have investigated the problem with the Vietnamese fonts a bit, and I
think it comes down to the use of a bad font in the PDFs.
I have experimented with specifying a font both through the pom and
the custom XSL used to transform the Docbook source to PDF, as well as
embedding the font within the PDF itself. I tried with a font called
FreeSans and it looks no better than before. It seems that this should
work, but it seems not to. The use of Microsoft Arial results in
something like the attachement, which seems to look better but I have
no idea if it is correct.
Perhaps you could advise on a specific font which should be used, and
if possible one which is free and possible to distribute?
provides a list.
Best regards,
Jason

The attachment you sent look good but just the title… I’ll have a look to see the different between the chapter title and the sections…
Have a nice day!
hello… I’m trying to change the font of the docs inside vn/resourse/xsl/fop-cust.xsl… change all font to “Microsoft Arial” but the generated .PDF is not well as your attachment… Is this(fop-cust.xsl) that you change the font? or else?
