A: Not really, it is not in the plan. But if you need it on your project let us know so we can evaluate.

Q: Hi every body is it there a way to separate SDK in independants modules like map, data entry etc then when we should develop app using only map or data entry we should only include and use it ?
A: It is currently not possible but we are working towards a more modular design, it will be coming in 2021

Which dhis2 dashboard app is most stable in the store currently? I’m getting two apps, i) Dashboard for DHIS2; which is not showing the tables and charts correctly. ii) Interactive dashboard; which is more or less ok. However, both of them are not supporting the dashboardItem type APP (dashboard widget).

Q: Is there any plan to capture biometrics from the App?
A: Yes and no. No because we are not going to implement this in the Android itself as it goes one step higher. Yes because we think that this could work in partnership with other organisations that have already implemented similar features. So far the communications we had were not really successful as they require an additional server which might not comply with the data protection we aim for. So we are still looking for the ideal solution.

Thank you @jaime.bosque and @marta for raising the data protection issue, which is a substantial one.
Regarding the technical integration of biometrics as a vanilla solution, it is probably indeed tricky as the privacy and compliancy concerns will vary among the adopters (organisations, ministries, etc)

Q: Yes, there is a plan as Google dependencies present a constrain. We are trying to remove those dependencies and so far we have removed all except the debugging and crash reporting.

Hi @Aung.K.Min, yes there are plants to remove google services dependencies. We already have removed google maps (we use mapbox), and right now we are exploring different alternatives to report errors and usage that are not google dependant. More work to be done in that front during 2021

I’m sharing a similar Monjur’s question.
Are you exploring to get a dashboard app?
For example, here in Honduras we have two user rolles: filler and analysis supervisor. We worked the analyst role to desktop visualization, however the visual impact on mobile device is bigger here (Local ways to be, you will say). I think seeing basically maps, tables and graphs will be enough to “Fill the eye”.
Also we are interested to check how to implement code bar and QR Scanner on our projects.

Q: Is possible add signatures?
A: So far we have not considered but if you need this please fill a JIRA request explaining the use case and we will evaluate the possibility.
