Why mandatory denominator even if the indicator type is Number?

Hi everyone,

I presume that when the indicator type is number means that the indicator is not a fraction and thus needs no denominator. I have noticed that one must add 1 as a denominator even if the indicator type is number. Must the Indicator always have a denominator in DHIS 2?

Thanks

Hi @dmbantu, I admit this is slightly counter intuitive, but it has to do with the indicator calculation engine in the backend. If there is no denominator then it will force a divide by zero error, so we avoid that by requiring a denominator even if it is just 1. Sorry for the inconvenience.
