We are looking for a full-time consultant to join our team at WHO (Integrated Health Services Department, Clinical Services and Systems Unit) to maintain our DHIS2 programs and perform overall M&E tasks pertaining to the Global Emergency and Trauma Care Initiative and as part of the WHO Integrated Data Platform “WIDP”. WIDP is a live platform based on DHIS2 and hosted at WHO-HQ in order to facilitate global reporting, strengthen data use of data reported by countries to WHO, and strengthen data collection and use in countries which request WHO support.
This consultancy is 6-months with high likelihood for extension. The overall team is based in Geneva but location for this consultancy is flexible. Preferred start date 1 July 2020.
Tasks would include:
- DHIS2 platform maintenance (a facility-level registry, International Registry for Trauma and Emergency Care “IRTEC”, implemented in countries across all WHO regions collecting emergency unit key data points and informing quality improvement; advanced data collection for M&E at sentinel sites to assess impact of intervention toolkit - both are built on Event Capture and utilize Android app for data collection)
- Supporting roll-out of IRTEC across countries including user technical support and training
- Performing ongoing data management and analysis, including constructing data feedback loops to inform facility-level decisions
- Oversee impact reporting via dashboards, audit filters and standardized reporting to end users and project implementation staff at HQ, regions, and country offices
- Serving as a WIDP programme administrator to contribute to phased improvements of shared platform, raise issues/bugs, govern platform maintenance
Essential Requirements include:
- Undergrad or Postgrad qualification in public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in public health sector, particularly with focus on data management analysis
- Knowledge of DHIS2 and familiarity with health management information systems
- Extensive knowledge of digital data collection platforms
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience in data management and analysis
- Ability to liaise with clinical national partners
- Ability to work with partners effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office software applications
Desirable requirements include:
- Clinical experience in field of surgery, emergency care or trauma care
- Experience managing a trauma registry or experience as a quality officer in a clinical setting
- Experience in LMICs
- Basic knowledge of Sharepoint
- Experience working at a UN agency
