Welcome to the DHIS2 Case-Based Surveillance (CBS) Community!

Dear all,

Welcome to the DHIS2 Case-Based Surveillance (CBS) Community!

You have been added to this user list because you have attended or shown interest in attending a DHIS2-related Disease Surveillance/Global Health Security workshop in the past - e.g. the Disease Surveillance Academy in Goa this May, the Dakar Workshop in September 2016 or the GHSA Implementers Workshop in Atlanta in February 2016.

HISP UiO sees the need for an online community, where participants can discuss and share their experiences on working with CBS in DHIS2, outside of and in-between the workshops and academies.

From UiO's side we also want to share new features and information on the work we are doing with CBS in the Oslo core team.

In this first email, we would like to share with you relevant material from the recent DHIS2 Disease Surveillance Academy in Goa:

- Moodle instance with all the relevant academy material and slides<https://training.dhis2.org/course/view.php?id=87> - You will need to create an account on training.dhis2.org.

- DHIS2 CBS Academy instance<https://cbs-academy.dhis2.org/exercise> - This is for those of you who already attended the academy in Goa, where you can continue to work on and play with the exercise introduced there.

- DHIS2 CBS Demo Instance<https://cbs-academy.dhis2.org/demo> - To log in to this instance you can use the username cbsdemo and password District1# to get started. A summary of features will be available later this week.

In addition, DHIS version 2.27 was released on June 2nd with new CBS features - we will update you more on this in a later email.

There are more Disease Surveillance Academies coming up this summer/fall - check out the DHIS2 Academies<https://www.dhis2.org/academy> page for more information, but we will also notify this mailing list when registration opens.

Please feel free to share experiences, use cases, events or tools that you think will benefit other DHIS2 CBS users to this list (and tell others!). If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

HISP UiO look forward to great discussions and knowledge sharing from all of you.

Thanks so much,
Karoline

Dear all,

We are so happy to see the response to the community so far.

Please note that when you reply to an email on this list, the reply address will automatically be the mailing list (dhis2-cbs-community@knowledge-gateway.org) - to facilitate discussion and sharing with everyone - but this could fill up people's inbox quite quickly if all replies go to this list. If you want to respond to sender only, there is a link for this in the mailing list signature. There is also a link to th community website where you can search in discussion (email) archives as well as add relevant documents for the group to the library. Have a look around. Here you can also register a different email if you'd like.

Have a good day everyone,

Subject: [dhis2-cbs-community] Welcome to the DHIS2 Case-Based Surveillance (CBS) Community!

Thanks so much,
Karoline

Hi, @Karoline
Is there a Dhis2 instance - demo specific to the CBS program?
Thank you

Hi @elmoujarrade , yes you can access the WHO Case-based Surveillance tracker program (covering 9 vaccine preventable diseases) at our HMIS demo instance: DHIS 2

Please see the left hand side for log in details (you can choose which language to view the DHIS2 interface; however not all metadata packages are translated into all languages).

When you log in, you can navigate to the Tracker Capture app and select a health facility (Level 4), you can find the Case Based Surveillance program.
