More questions about the web API to inject data into DHIS2:

  • Is there any reason to prefer XML over JSON or the reverse? (planned support etc.)

  • Is there a way to obtain the version number of DHIS2 through the web API? I thought I saw that, but can’t find it anymore.

We plan to support both formats.

This is something I had meant to do for a long time. In latest trunk you can now get version number and build revision as JSON through the Web API at:

/api/system/info
