Upgrading 2.41.0 is very slow effecting the Dashboard or disappearing data

Hi all
I upgraded the DHIS2 version from 2.38.4 to 2.41.0, but unfortunately, it resulted in a significant slowdown of the dashboard and the disappearance of some data.

your title and text version doesn’t match.

Is this a production server ?

I hope you followed the recommendations

can you be more specific about the missing data ?

  • did you clear the cache of the browser (see Browser Cache Cleaner app)
  • did you relaunch the analytics ?

about performance is there a specific type of dashboard that is affected (tracker ? aggregated domain ?)

check is in the global settings if some cache is in place, a short time lived cache can already help a lot (15-30 minutes)

Hi Sami,

Thanks for this. To help other users who might come across the same problem, would you mind jotting down the specific sharing issue that you encountered during the upgrade?

Many thanks, Sam.

After upgrading, all the sharing permissions I have granted to user groups on data visualization and event reports are removed. Thus, I open each one individually and reshare them with groups.

there are many issues that still exist with 2.42, such as
1: peridctors don’t submit correct values to option categories.
2: The event report displays the table columns unorderly.

Many thanks, sharing these bugs is really helpful, as we’re looking at upgrading to 2.41 in one country in order to get access to the full set of data quality features. (You do mean 2.41 rather than 2.42?)

Thanks again, Sam.

Hi @sami.oracle10g ,

Thanks for flagging your issues here. If you find clear bugs, it would be very helpful if you can describe them fully and raise them on Jira.

May I ask why you are upgrading to 2.41.0 (which was released in May 2024)?
There have been several patch releases since then (2.41.2 was released in November 2024, and 2.41.3 was released yesterday).

Kind regards,
Phil
