The DHIS2 Education Academy, Level 2

HISP-UiO is pleased to invite you to our first global DHIS2 for Education Academy, Level 2 co-hosted by the Gambian Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, which will be held at the Kalimba Beach Resort, The Gambia on 25 - 29 April 2022.
The Academy can be attended as:
- A 3-day conference
The 3-day programme (25 - 27 April) is intended for education stakeholders and programme managers. This conference-style event will offer an overview of DHIS2 for Education implementations from pilot countries in The Gambia, Togo, Uganda, Mozambique, Sri Lanka and Eswatini.
These sessions will focus on how teams are improving routines for systematic data collection based on international standards, improving data utilization at multiple levels of the education system and the scaling of well-functioning innovations. Participants can expect hands-on practical sessions related to analysis and data use on day 3. Best practices and key considerations for planning, managing and evaluating a DHIS2 for Education initiative will be shared by Ministries of Education and DHIS2 experts from HISP groups and the University of Oslo.

- A 5-day conference + training
The 5-day programme (25 - 29 April) is intended for implementers and technical experts. This includes the 3-day conference, plus an additional 2-day course that features practical training and hands-on exercises to facilitate the implementation of a DHIS2 for Education instance, including aggregate and individual (Tracker) data, design implications for Android and data analytics.

COVID-19 and Academy planning
We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic situation, and will make adjustments to the Academy format if necessary. We will work to ensure that all necessary protocols are followed, so that everyone can enjoy the Academy in comfort.
Any changes to the Academy will be communicated as soon as possible.
We highly recommend starting planning your trip to the Gambia, especially given the possibility of increased travel requirements or challenges due to COVID-19.
