We are thrilled to announce the release of two powerful new modules to the DHIS2 Health Data Toolkit, tailored to meet the evolving needs of health programs worldwide:
NTD (Neglected Tropical Diseases)
- The NTD Overarching Module is designed to enhance reporting on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), aligned with WHO guidelines and the Global NTD Annual Reporting Framework (GNARF). It supports global goals like the WHO 2021-2030 roadmap for NTD control and elimination. The module features adaptable datasets for over 29 NTDs, covering surveillance, human resources, and stock management. With integration, data triangulation, and flexible dashboards, it ensures alignment with national workflows, enhancing monitoring, planning, and decision-making for NTD programs.

- The NTD Human Rabies Surveillance Module is an advanced, aggregate dataset designed for tracking and analyzing human rabies cases within national health management information systems (HMIS). It extends the NTD Overarching Module, enabling detailed data collection aligned with WHO guidelines. The module includes structured datasets for case classification, exposure, PEP administration, and outcomes, disaggregated by GNARF age groups, wound categories, and animal types. Integrated dashboards and flexible configurations support granular surveillance, contributing to WHOβs 2030 targets against rabies in endemic countries.

Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC)
The new SMC module is designed to monitor antimalarial drug distributions targeting children under five across all SMC cycles. This aggregate tool ensures detailed insights into coverage and campaign outcomes, empowering health programs to optimize planning and evaluate the impact of interventions. Integrated dashboards enhance decision-making by triangulating routine malaria data with SMC campaign performance.
