Translations - months in (Arabic) language

Hello
I’m using dhis2 version 2.41.3

There’s a translation error for the (Arabic) language.
The correct translation for the Gregorian months is (يناير - فبراير - مارس -…الخ)
not (كانون الثاني - شباط - اذار…الخ ). These months are called Syriac or agricultural months.

The translation in previous versions was correct.
I don’t know why the recent dhis2 update has had so many problems.

Hi @Eng.Ali_Hameed

Thank you for your post. There are four options for the Arabic language (Arabic, Arabic Egypt, Arabic Iraq, and Arabic Sudan):

Gregorian months are used in all those options except when Arabic Iraq is selected. Please check your language settings as seen in the screenshot above.

I’ve checked in the Data Entry app in play:

It appears from the screenshot that you’re using the legacy app, please try the Data Entry app which replaces the legacy one.

Sorry to hear you’re facing some issues, I’ve seen your other posts and we’ll try to address them one by one. Additionally, if you’d like you can also contribute to the translation of DHIS2, see How do I contribute to translations? - Localization of DHIS2 - DHIS2 Docs

Thank you!

Hello @Gassim ,
the three languages you mentioned (Arabic (Egypt), Arabic (Iraq), and Arabic (Sudan)). When you change the user language to these languages, the settings interface in the Android app and all other interfaces become in English, making it difficult for end users to understand.

Best Regards

Hi again

I just a clarification please. If you’re not selecting Arabic (Iraq) then the dates should appear in Gregorian format. Which option are you currently using because as I mentioned above it appears that the months don’t appear in Gregorian format only if Arabic (Iraq) is selected.

Thanks!
