Translation of "Interface language" to Amharic

Dear All

We have interest in translating DHIS2 into Amharic. I notice that there is a “Database language” version for Amharic, but not an “Interface Language”. What are the steps/processes into determining how to go about initiating a project along these lines? What specifically is required and are there files that we can download to begin the initial translations of specific words for the “Interface language”?

Suggestions and guidance would be welcome.
