tracker capture: keep data on phone after log-out?

Hi all,

Do you know if it’s possible to log out of the android tracker capture app while retaining data (under a particular login) on the device? Users in the field have data on their phones that they would like to keep in order to be able to search locally, but also want to log out (for security and multiple users) – they are only seeing “delete and logout” as an option.

Hello Natalie,

The Android data capture app at the moment is configured to delete all locally stored data during logout. Reason probably is because, when you need to login again, it needs to connect to the server and verify your credentials and if possible update the forms if there are any changes.

In your case where users need to be able to search locally, they can search and download the data to the phone after login and they will be able to do the search.
