Technical advice for first installation of DHIS2

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am plan to create health system to assist MOH; Therefore, I need you all to provide technical advice for initial installation of DHIS2 in order to run this system smoothly onward.

I. Option 1

  1. Postgre SQL 9.6 (bigSQL) with PostGIS pg96
  2. DHIS2 version 3.1

II. Option 2

  1. PostgreSQL 10.6 (Enterprisedb) with enable PostGIS
  2. DHIS2 version 3.1

III. Option 3

  1. Mysql 5.5
  2. DHIS2 version 3.1

Hello @LCaynar,
great time to start using DHIS2 since starting 2.31 the upgrades of the DB are done by DHIS2 :wink:

Between Postgres and mysql, i would go for postgres.
Between 9.6 and 10.6, i would go with 10.6
Our org is using 11.1, though the recommended psql version is 10.x
So my recommendation is to go with Option 2.

though if i am not mistaken, DHIS2 2.31 doesn’t support mysql, but i leave that to the specialists :wink:
