we have a new app available in the app store: Tabular Tracker Capture.
Tabular Tracker Capture is an app that makes you more effective and productive when capturing lots of persons and event information. It lets you register new persons and other entities, do enrollment in programs and enter event or case information in the same screen. You can easily navigate between organisation units, time periods and enrollment status.
This app was developer by James Chang and contributed by PSI.
We are happy that PSI made the effort to make the app generic and reusable, hence making it available for others to use on their own DHIS instance. We encourage you to check it out.
but can you make easier? when we choose orgunit as dropbox. because I some time I don’t remember the name in organization unit.
Thank you

I agree that it is difficult to remember exact spellings of names, but you can type just a few letters and then hit enter, and it will search for matching orgunits. I think that should work ok.

Though I worry a little bit about the way we go with this app business. Specifically:
there is no licence
there is no pointer to source code
the app is in “our” app store on dhis2.org. What does that mean? It is somehow endorsed for quality and/or legal clearance. How does an app get into the app store?
I think we need to think carefully about these questions as an open source project. Particulalrly as we tag on things which are not necessarily open source. I know it sounds trendy like google and all, but is “store” really the metaphor we need or something else - like app library or app repository or something?
I would suggest that we need to:
rename app store to something better - I would vote for library
develop some process around the submission of apps which includes clarity over licence. Maybe there can be some standard place within the app we indicate that with possible link to source code where appropriate.
