hello community,

I have a question does DHIS2 have the capability to change terminology of some components of the system for example i want to change the “period” in the data entry to “date”, the reason is DHIS2 is used to in different sectors so assume we are going to use DHIS2 in education sectors and in education sector they have different terminologies that donot mean the some as the default used like data sets (they might want to call it checklist or form) and other components like data elements,indicators,data sets

Try to use the Translation feature to see if it meets your needs for most custom labels and If deeper customization is required, such as renaming system-critical terms that aren’t configurable, consider developing a custom app or modifying the DHIS2 source code if you have the technical capacity.

DHIS2 can accommodate some terminology changes, especially for labels and components, but for deeper or system-wide terminology customization, further customization might be required.
