Sum in period and orgUnit, but average in a category

Hi!

Is there a way to set aggregation of a data element to sum in period and orgUnit, but average across category options in a category? The use case in question is total number of lived years by a reference population. This is used instead of reference population to find cancer rates, but we also want to be able to sum this across different cancer types modelled as a category.

I haven’t found direct solutions to this and it requires experimentation. Have you tried anything that almost worked or didn’t work? While researching, one idea was to create an indicator for each category option and then an indicator for all these indicators…

I think you’d be looking more into indicators to get to the result you’re looking for…
