Laurens just made the comment that the color schemes and color picker
that we have adopted more or less wholesale from the Mapfish GeoStat
demo. I have made a blueprint about this here:

Also, he showed me that the combination of detailed view for one
orgunit while still showing the siblings at the higher level is done
very nicely in the following NYT animation (click on a state to see
what I mean):
