Setting Data Element number type

Hello Everyone,

I need to setup data elements with values “equal” or “higher” than 0.

It seems that I need to create a validation rules for each data elements, because ”Integer Positive” is for Positive Numbers but does not includes 0.

Does anyone knows how can I do this more simply ? Like using only the properties of the data element.

Thanks

Gulam Khan

Hello Gulam,

at the moment we only have data element types for positive and
negative values. Zero is considered a "neutral" integer and hence is
not included in any of those.

Is your requirement to use integers or real numbers (decimal values) ?

regards,

Lars

Thanks for your answer Lars.

Yes, is my requirement have the possibility to configure data elements with
positive numbers including 0.

When setting up data elements, I tried number type: "positive integer" and
store zero data value "Yes" , but does not allow the use of zero. (which
make sense to use, I think).

Okay. So then I assume that you want integers, not decimal numbers.

I have written up a blueprint here, with some implementation notes
under whiteboard:

https://blueprints.launchpad.net/dhis2/+spec/zero-positive-int-dataelement-type

Is this something that you / critical feel like taking on?

cheers

Hi Lars,

We have already submitted our implementation for merging.

Any question let us know.
