Sending custom email notification upon dataset complete

Dear Devs,

I was trying to send the custom email notification to the group of users upon the dataset completion

Here is the proposed template to be sent to their emails

But on email delivery, they are receiving emails with some default texts and missing values, I want any assistance, if there is any way to correct this.

Thanks @David ! I’m trying to reproduce the issue on play so for now I’m testing using the internal messaging, so I’d like to ask if these values don’t appear in the internal messages as well or both in the email and the internal messaging (when selecting User Group instead of OU contact)?

When I use the internal messaging, all the values appear:

You can see that the value for V{data_description} is missing and that’s because there’s no value. If you reconfigure temporarily the message notification to a user group and see how the message is received in the internal messaging, if the values appear then this is a bug in the Email part but if the values don’t appear still then we need to check other things.

I have come to know that, even in the system messages the period is not being displayed, there is no problem with everything else except the reporting period.

Have you gotten a chance to take a look at the cause of the Subject to come in the email like this “[DHIS 2] SUBJECT” ?

Thank you for sharing. In play.dhis2.org instances, I’m not able to reproduce this issue as you can see in the screenshot the registration_period shows in play so it’s not a bug but probably a configuration issue; however, could you still update to the final release of 2.38?

Thank you, am going to check into the configuration and see if I can change anything, but if you can assist me in removing that [DHIS2] that is coming before my Custom Subject (Underlined texts in the following screenshot), I would really appreciate it.

I think this is the Application Title from your System Settings app, please to confirm that update the title and see if it changes?
