As the digital transformation has accelerated during the last couple of years, people are exposed to a wide range of internet threats more than ever before.
Technology can go only so far in protecting an user’s activity with an interconnected device, and therefore is paramount for every single one of us to familiarize ourselves with some of the most common risks that threaten our safety and the security of our data online.
We have collected a list of short videos we would like you to have a look and think about how you approach those topics in your daily digital life. They are not specifically related to DHIS2 platform, but could benefit you across all your online activity, including your work with DHIS2.
Our goal is to raise awareness around online safety and the steps we all can take to make the life harder for malicious actors to get access and steal our personal and confidential information.
Regardless if you are tech savvy or not, if you actively handle data or just casually browsing the internet, we highly recommend going through the videos: they contain good tips on how to manage complex passwords effectively, how to spot a phishing website and email, and how to work safely when you’re in public spaces, among other things. It will take no more than 40 minutes total and you can watch them anytime you want to.
These videos are very high level and not technical: we want to give everyone the opportunity to understand and follow some simple guidelines. Of course, we know that some of you work in organizations that provide their own internet security guidelines or training on some of these topics – the videos we are sharing here are not meant to replace or contradict your organization’s guidelines.
