Running a Pilot with Demo - DHIS2 Tracker for Education

Dear DHIS2 community members.

I am new to the community and in using the DHIS2. After reading so many post, documentation and completing some of the online course in the academy, I realize that implementing a DHIS2 tracker may be challenging and somehow costly.

So, before procuring funding for implementing it in an education project that needs to track beneficiaries overtime (year-to-year) in school, I was wondering what the best approach would be to access the practicality of using DHIS2 Tracker in the project.

As the project did not use DHIS2 yet, do you think would be a good approach to use the Demo server/account for the pilot? Are these demo server/account provided in DHIS2 play enough to run a quick pilot (with adequate customization of the Org units, programs, attributes, etc. of course) just to understand how DHIS2 tracker works in the field (with fake data ou using anonymized personal data of course)?

I would be more than happy to be hearing your experience and thoughts on this.

Thank you so much in advance

Hello Alexandre, sorry for the late reply, there is a lot going on right now. I certainly understand the need for you to test things out before making the jump to DHIS2. You are free to do whatever you want on the public demos, but the significant downside of this openness is that they are automatically reset every night, so you will lose your work. Our team is streched at the moment but please reach out to me directly on knut@dhis2.org to find a time to get on a call and see if we can help you out with a better test solution.
