Reversing the period in a pivot table

Hello,

I have a pivot table that uses period in the ‘rows’ data position.

Currently the dates are lists oldest to newest (top to bottom).

Is is possible to reverse this order so that the latest figures show at the top?

See image attached

I need to use the ‘last 12 months’ option so the data is shown dynamically as time progresses.

Thank you.

Hi @jamiecarter7

Thank you for the detailed post and the screenshot. I tried to be as creative as possible, the only way to achieve a descending period in a pivot table is to use fixed period but I know you’ve already thought about that since you mentioned “dynamically”.

For the most part, I’ve mostly seen these tables always display an ascending period. I’m wondering if descending periods is a default system somewhere? It’d be great if more context is provided to support a feature request.

Would you like to create a feature request for this? (See ideas, and if you create one please share the link here so other community members can show interest and follow for updates).

Thanks!
