Questions about table behavior and layout in DHIS2 Data Entry / Data Entry (Beta) App (Tab navigation, column width, freeze column)

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask if the following options are currently available in the DHIS2 Data Entry App / DHIS2 Data Entry (Beta) App (for aggregate data sets — not custom forms):

  1. Tab key navigation direction:
    The ability to move down in the data input table when pressing Tab, rather than across — and when reaching the bottom of the table, it moves up to the next column.

  2. Column width:
    Is there any way to adjust or customize the column width in the data entry table?
    Currently, some columns appear quite wide, and it would be helpful to resize them to make better use of the screen space.

  3. Freeze column:
    When entering data in large tables, is there an option to freeze the column containing the data element names so that it stays visible while scrolling horizontally?

I searched the documentation and settings but could not find any options related to these features. Could someone please confirm if they are currently supported or planned for future versions? We are currently using DHIS2 version 2.40.9.

Thank you for sharing these requests. Apparently, none of these are available in any of the versions, so maybe recreate your ticket into an idea/feature request (see ideas).

Yes, these are not available, but I’m triaging to the team.
