Published article in Elsevier journal on utilizing DHIS-2 tracker and SMS reminders on decreasing child immunization dropout and increasing vaccination timeliness in Duhok, Kurdistan Region of Iraq

Dear colleagues,

Although DHIS-2 has been implemented and tested on various health topics and in many countries, however unfortunately there are still some health systems that are not quite there in terms of moving from paper-based to digitized records and tracking those children behind their immunization schedule is quite a difficult task.
In this article i have been able to actually test DHIS-2 tracker and SMS reminders on my own community (Duhok governorate) in Kurdistan region of Iraq with a proved evidence that DHIS-2 tracker can actually make immunization coverage elevated immensely, by fast identifying and tracking dropout children/ defaulters:

This would have not been possible without the help of this marvelous community.
Thank you all @Gassim

Hi @Haliz.t

Welcome back to the community! It’s great to hear you’ve published a DHIS2 research paper about the implementation that you’ve been working on in your hometown.

Would you like to recreate a second post in Research - Recherches?

Amazing! Thank you so much.

Based on the research conclusions, how do you think this will help you move forward in the implementation in Duhok? Would you like to share your next steps for 2025?

Thanks again! <3
