Project Submission – Digital Disease Surveillance Strengthening in South Kivu (Pilot: MPOX Outbreak in Uvira)

Dear DHIS2 Community,

I’m excited to share with you our project concept entitled:
“Digital Strengthening of Epidemic-Prone Disease Surveillance in South Kivu Province – Pilot Case: MPOX Outbreak in Uvira.”

This initiative, developed by LUKEKA DIGITAL SERVICES, aims to enhance early detection, notification, and rapid response to epidemic-prone diseases through an integrated digital platform interoperable with DHIS2.
The project builds upon existing health information systems and focuses on innovation, data reliability, and community-level engagement to improve real-time decision-making in South Kivu.

We are currently seeking:

  • :handshake: Technical mentors with experience in DHIS2 customization, interoperability, or health data integration

  • :puzzle_piece: Institutional partners (public health programs, NGOs, research institutions)

  • :light_bulb: Funding or implementation partners to support the pilot phase in Uvira and expand across the province.

If interested, I’d be delighted to schedule a short virtual meeting to present the project in more detail and explore collaboration opportunities.

Warm regards,
Fidèle LUKEKA KIBASOMBA
