We recently upgraded a Db Server hosting 15+ different DHIS2 databases from PostgreSQL 9.2 to 9.4 using a dump/purge/install/psql method – as opposed to trying to upgrade the existing database cluster – and have had no problems at all.
Smooth operations so far – and 9.4 is definitely an improvement, config-wise.
Kind regards,
Jason.

Hi Jason
I haven’t used it in production, but I’m using it for dev work… and it seems to be working fine, should be an easy upgrade.

Hi all,
Anyone using the new PostgreSQL 9.4 in the community, yet? Anything to share about using it, and/or upgrading from 9.2/9.3?
Kind Regards,
Jason Phillips
