Period 2023 not showing in Data Entry (beta) app for specific time zone users

Hi,

We are using DHIS2 to collect data from partners located in diverse regions. Currently, we’ve found some users - specifically in Latin American region - cannot see the last period (2023) of the yearly data set from the Period dropdown of the Data Entry (beta) app, while others in Asia and Africa region can see it.

For testing, I have changed my Windows’s timezone to Central Amercia and now I can’t find 2023 either. I thought it could result from the difference between server time and OS time and I set server time to their time zone (Central America). I find no change.

+) The period (2023) is shown in the old Data Entry app, while not in the new Data Entry app.

I can temporarily set a future period open for data entry, but it is not a fundamental solution and it rather opens other region users’ data entry for 2024.

I’d appreciate your support.

Hi @jakeharkness. Sorry for these issues, and thank you for reporting.

We have recreated the issue on our testing instances and will look into it. You can follow the progress on the ticket: [DHIS2-16479] - Jira.

Hi @jakeharkness. We’ve made an update to the app, which is included in v100.3.10. You can update the app version via App Management.

Note that after opening the Data Entry (Beta) app again, you may need to check that the app is updated by clicking on the user profile in the upper-right of the header bar (there will be a prompt to update the app to the latest version if there is a cached version of the app).

Once you have updated, 2023 should be selectable.

Let us know if you run into any problems.
