PDF upload functionality

Hi there.

I am trying out the new functionality for PDF uploads in 2.12. I downloaded a copy of the form from the server through the dataset dialog, but when I try and fill in the data with Acrobat Reader, I get a message that I can only save a blank copy. Do I need to perform some more magic on the form with Acrobat before people are able to fill in the form properly with Acrobat Reader (or other PDF reader)?

Best regards,

Jason

If you have the latest version, it should allow you to save forms. If it's not, I would check under File, Document Security, and makes sure that "Printing" and "Filling of Forms fields" is enabled.

Hope that works for you.

Hi Steffen

I am running 10.1.7.27. Tried to update it again, but it claims that it is up to date.

Looked under properties, and “Printing” and “Filling of form fields” are both enabled.

When I fill in any data however, I cannot save the file and get a dialog box saying I must print a copy of the file.

Any other ideas?

Regards

Jason

Hi, Jason.

I am trying to figure out this issue. I have downloaded Adobe Reader 11.0 which is the current version available for download.

With the default setting, I was able to fill out the PDF form in the Adobe Reader.

Could you download Adobe reader version 11.0 (http://get.adobe.com/reader/) and try filling out the PDF form?

I can give it a try but this version is fairly recent. When I exported the file with Acrobat as an extended PDF,it worked fine in this version I have currently.
