Patching Ubuntu LTS without Ubuntu Pro subscription

Hi team, my server is on Universe repository and has several outdated packages. We are a low resource organization and cannot afford Ubuntu Pro ($500/server/year).

How is everyone getting LTS up to date without subscription? Can I use the personal option for 5 servers? Is it compliant to use Ubuntu Pro personal for an organization?

Hi,

You can stay within the standard Ubuntu LTS 5-year support window. Security updates for the main repository are included for free, so you don’t need Ubuntu Pro to keep your servers updated
