We have just launched DHIS2 and instructed users to use the password recovery to set up their individual passwords. The recover process however, is not working. We tried to reset passwords for all 1700 to something generic that they can use to enter the system but this is also not working for everybody. As an administrator, I cannot successfully reset passwords for individual users. I go into the Users App, change the password but for some reason, the password does not reset. Is this a bug or something related to my settings?
Users are frustrated and so am I.
Please use the latest stable version of dhis2 2.39 because SNAPSHOT is not the stable version. I tried to replicate the issue in https://play.dhis2.org/2.39.2.1 but it changed the password without issues.
If you are able to reproduce this issue in https://play.dhis2.org/2.39.2.1 please share the steps to reproduce. If you revert back to version 2.39.2.1 i.e. latest 2.39 stable release and still face this issue, please perform the following:
Data Administration app → Data Maintenance → Clear application cache & reload apps

Thank you for your reply. We have been working with BAO Systems on customization of our instance. They upgraded us to this version because of bugs.
I will attempt to clear application cache to see if this solves the issue, I am having resetting user passwords. I can try to replicate and play as well. Will keep you posted.

Can you check if there is no space after the email of your users!! Try with one user and delete all spaces after his email address, then update his passwd. It’s happen sometime you cannot change the password because DHIS2 doesnot allow space after email address.
