It’s great to have this country CoP setup.
My take to strengthen our push for DHIS2 presence in PNG and build capability is to;
1: Identify those who are willing to be Developers and Administrators.
2: These developers have to be in-country
3: Organise Developers/Administrators in-house training as a go-bye to set the pathway and once they have a fair idea about DHIS2, they can use the DHIS2 Academy…
Once we have these core technical expertise, they can be called upon to develop/provide administrator support whenever new modules/systems arise and especially within the Digital Health space.

Great points Niwel. There is great interest and momentum in the PNG Digital Health community to build skills and knowledge of DHIS2 and great leadership from the national programs to adopt the platform for key initiatives and so we look forward to more of our the PNG community joining here and utilizing the platform to share and learn as we build the DHIS2 community to manage the platform and it’s introduction in PNG.

This is fantastic Poruan. I think it is a good idea to make use of the existing CoP site. Hopefully the PNG community will continue to build. I have some people who have contacted us from the provinces (PHAs) who are interested in connecting too. I will link them in. Regards, Michael
