Output from Orgunits and Orgunits Group

Dear All,

I am asking if someone has already done, in the pivot table, a single display of the list of organization units with the name of the organization unit group where they belong to. In pivot table, I have used the “select groups” in the selection mode during the selection of the organization units. The output result I get is only showing the list of the organization units that belong to the selected group and there is no way to output the name of the selected group itself in this result. I have tried to show the organization units hierarchy in the pivot table options but it only output the names of all orgunits in the hierarchy.

All suggestions are welcome. DHIS2 2.19.

Hi, I am bringing this back to the list, since others can also chip in.

Postgres comes with a command line tool called psql, and with a GUI app called PgAdmin III. I always use PgAdmin when I work locally, but usually just go through the command line on the server (though it is of course limited).

As for the datamodel, the core tables for aggregate data are really all the ones that link to the datavalue table: dataelement, period, source (which links to organisationunit). Then the categoryoptioncombos is the key to a number of tables involved in the disaggregation.

Yes, I have seen the message on the step be step upgrade process which is quite straightforward. I am planning to practice the upgrade first with our DHIS2 development instance. By the way, the DHIS2 that I am working on is based on a postgreSQL database and I would like to have your opinion about the best application (easy to use) you would recommend to connect directly to the database in the server. I am familiar with SQL syntax. I am using the SQL View of DHIS2 to query the database but it is very limited when working with a large amount of data and in addition it is limited to the SELECT command for DHIS2 2.19. I would like to be able to update the metadata, data values,… with batch process directly in the database. All links to a practical documenation or other knowledge resources about the management of the DHIS2 database in the server side are welcome.

There are 4 releases per year. You don’t have to follow each and every one, and it usually is prudent to wait a few weeks after each release, so that bugs can be sorted out. I suggest you move to 2.23 for now.

Did you see the messages lately on how to do the upgrade step by step?

Hi Knut,

Thank you for your suggestion. Which version is now the most stabe to migrate to as the version of DHIS2 is changing quickly over time?

Hi Tantely,

I don’t have an answer to this question, but would suggest you try and upgrade from 2.19, since that is now more than a year old, and many things have improved since (and people don’t remember how things worked back then).
