Hi Morten,
I checked on the trunk server (cannot modify now mine)
I´m afraid the org. units did not appear when going to Services → Data entry.

Hi Marta,
Could you please try either our newest trunk war [1] or our trunk server [2] with IE8? I can be a bit slow if you have lots of orgUnits on your user, but for most cases it should be fine (for data entry clerks etc). If you have users with large amounts of OUs, you could also try our offline OU-level setting, which means it will only download parts of the tree.
We have also fixed a bug with OUST, so it should (hopefully) be working 100% on IE8 now.

Thanks for checking Marta. I’m not sure if its related to the storage unit or not, I will try and have a look. I think for 50-100 orgUnits there should be no problem, which hopefully means that a data entry clerk will be able to do her or his job without any issues.
I will see if it can be fixed fully, but at least we are one step closer.

i´m afraid it doesn´t seem to be loading it all
For Sierra Leone demo, only 4 nodes appear for the first level children, but If I open any of them, the next level is complete.
I didn´t see the error before because for our demo It loads five nodes at first children level, which i all we have
screenshot attached
I cleared the cache but got the same result. Anything else I could try?

That’s great Marta. So it also works fine when there are more orgUnits? could you please test on our demo site [1] and login with admin/district. I’m a bit worried that it doesn’t work properly when there are many orgUnits…

Hi Morten,
it loads the hierarchy now, thank you very much.
You can check it in the picture attached (It loads only one center because of the user i logged in with)

Marta

Hi Marta,
I have made several IE8 fixes, and backported to 2.13. Could you try again? I’m not able to get it fully working here, but it could be because I’m running IE in a virtualmachine with not that much memory available…

ok, thanks!!
PS: I personally use chrome, but users here have to use the standard software and they have no permissions to install or upgrade anything

Hi Marta,
I don’t think there is anything you can do on your side (besides changing or upgrading browser). I will try and make it work in IE8, if its only our storage engine that is the problem, there might be a way to support it. Of course, a newer browser is definitely recommended.

good morning,
I meant is there is something that could be done to fix it … on my side.
As Saptarshi said, if it is a matter of versions (and since IE8 seems to be a bit “old” and we are still in an evaluation process )
I would write in my report “compatible with IE10” and suggest to upgrade our supported version.
Thank you all
Marta

Is there any way to solve it for that version?
I’ll see what I can do… I’m not sure how long we can keep on supporting IE8 though, a lot of the stuff we have been implementing lately is using a bunch of new HTML 5 techs, which mean at some point it will be more or less impossible to support on IE8.
