From peeking at the wiki page, it seems that the only way to do the calculations is via SQL queries. Is that right? (It would be nice to make it possible to point to queries in the reporting module as well.)

I am glad to share with everyone that we have been recently working on DHIS report module that automates report generation based on sql queries and customized it for OpenMRS SHR(shared health record version) and completed it.
The main difference between the original and this version is that this version of the module will run the sql queries of the report against every location in the OpenMRS server. And also this module provides some other features such as web services and editing report code directly through.
