You need an openid identity server, I think -maybe- gmail have it (or they might have discontinued it now?), but you can also install your own… just search for openid servers… if you can use yahoo / outlook I’m not sure, they will have to support the openid protocol

No, the openid provider is the server you are connecting to… the actual openid username etc must be added to your dhis2 user… if you go edit user, you will see there is a field called openid

Well… that depends on what provider you are using… every provider should have a URL that you can connect to (it could be your own server, or a third party openid provider)

You mean your own DHIS2 server? or OpenID server? I’m not sure if GMail supports openid 2 anymore, I think maybe they just support openid connect (which we don’t support)
You need to find a new page with information, there is a lot of outdated info out there…
Btw, for 2.22 we are also adding LDAP authentication support… so that might be something to also look into (this will also require that you have your own LDAP server of course)

I mean i host DHIS2 server in my organisation and can access from outside internet. my problem is can’t login with OpenID, after i added OpenID Provider is:https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id and added gmailID into user management in field: OpenID already.
by the way, if new version support LDAP server, it is great.

Yes, my point was that info out there is a bit outdated… if you read [1] you will see that openid 2 is not supported by google anymore, so you need to find another openid provider… I’m not sure what is available for free, and what is available as self hosted… but I’m sure there are multiple providers out there
